During Son Studio we assign a scripture verse to memorize for the upcoming Sunday. Please help your child to learn the verse by having them recite it to you throughout the week.
Recite on Sunday, September 5th, 2010
"Let those who love the LORD hate evil,
for He guards the lives of His faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked."
  Psalm 97:10

Psalm 119:11 says to hide God's Word in your heart. This means to memorize a verse and then to do what it says. Here are ways to memorize Bible verses with someone in your family or a friend.

1. Have someone read the verse aloud and leave one word out. You fill in the word they left out. Take turns reading the verse, and each time leave out a different word.

2. Each time you read the verse aloud leave out one more word. The first time, one word; the second time, two words; and so on. You or the other person fills in the words that have been left out.

3.  Write the Bible verse on a card. Cut out each word, and scramble them. See who (you or family/friend) can put the words in the right order in the shortest time.
