Last Sunday was so good for me in more ways than you will ever know. First, just being back with the people I love to be with and worship with was healing in and of itself. I thank all of you again for all the prayers for me in my absence. As I told you Sunday, I am feeling better, just not quite back yet. I will be easing into full responsibilites over the next month or so.
Second, we had 1600 people in worship Sunday and that is good, but it pales in comparison to the 60 or more who came forward after the services to give their lives to Jesus Christ. That is very unusual for "BIG" days at a church. The spririt was off the charts for Easter. Pastor Leary stayed after the second service giving out the salvation booklets and talking to those who came forward well after the service was over and Laura had to go find more books for those who came after the third service. PRAISE THE LORD!!! That is what it is all about.
The remodeling in the music area is well under way and they should be ready to paint in a week or so.
The ministers are gearing up for summer camps. I cannot believe that one third of the year is already over.
I close with one of my favorite sayings from Charles Stanley: "Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him." By the way, the book I showed you Sunday was "The Source of My Strength" by Charles Stanley and Chapter 7 on burn-out give you details of what I am going through.
Love and Peace,
Pastor Lloyd
